What else can we say, it is the marks of a typical dictator & his military regime that has used all sorts of excuses to grip onto power.

As you have rightfully said and as echoed by Graham, we can no longer sit on the fence and watch. Fiji people & supporters need to stand up now & demonstrate Resistance & /or Civil Disobedience in a Non-Violent way. The time to act is now & needs to involve Fiji people worldwide whichever way it takes. Enough is enough.

There are many great thinkers out there that can come up with great suggestions and the Fiji people needs to be freed over the 'evil hold or bondage' that has crippled Fiji & its people.

May God Bless Fiji, its people & May his Divine Mercy give the people adequate strength & power to resist.Luvei Viti (Children of Fiji)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09748457374508712028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7745785272753572871.post-67269057976313590962009-06-12T01:38:24.572+12:002009-06-12T01:38:24.572+12:00Ameni, ameni!! I am definitely galvanized by this!

Unfortunately I think it is a bit too much "pearls before swine" to have too much of an impact on the top echelons of the Regime.

Their exclusive modus operandi to date has been "no retreat, no surrender, no compromise".

As a result, our defiance of them, if we are going to do it, will necessarily have to involve some kind of organized civil disobedience. Not sure if that is the kind of the democracy league is/was anticipating, but that is what must lie ahead, nonetheless.

In the meantime, Graham has asked for discussion on his article. By that I am sure he means "open" discussion. I don't think this should include the Blog moderators for obvious reasons (you guys should still contribute, but under aliases). However the rest of us commenters should definitely consider it.

To wit, I am going to get myself a google account under my own name, and submit my discussion of Graham's article under it. Enough of fear! Enough of complicity. Time to stand up in the open and be counted.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7745785272753572871.post-40465052983461659522009-06-10T18:37:31.335+12:002009-06-10T18:37:31.335+12:00Invigorating stuff indeed & bravo to Graham Le...Invigorating stuff indeed & bravo to Graham Leung.

Now the biggest task is Military budget & numbers needs to be scaled down drastically. That will keep them inline esp those like Bainimarama & his predessor Rabuka. Fiji must not have any more coup de tat.

So military might has to reduce & military functionaries likewise from top-down.Luvei Viti (Children of Fiji)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09748457374508712028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7745785272753572871.post-80455646303509694912009-06-10T08:55:07.323+12:002009-06-10T08:55:07.323+12:00@ anon 19:40 - exactly.

I suggest that the political solution lies in the comment about the proportional representation system. To me that is the answer to the differences that exist within a diverse society.
I will be reading this speech over and over again....Teejay For a Free Fijihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14442197357858553846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7745785272753572871.post-86943988539102937882009-06-09T21:54:41.488+12:002009-06-09T21:54:41.488+12:00Nice one.
