Registration nears 300,000 mark

Registration for the 2014 elections is closing in on the 300,000 mark.

After four weeks of registration – 294, 012 people have so far registered at various registration centres across the country.

Last week – 82, 721 people registered.

Week three saw 114, 907 people register – week two 78, 326 and week one 18, 058.

Yesterday 7,143 were registered.

So far 117,911 people have registered in the Central division, 103,455 in the West, 58,559 in the North and 14,087 in the Eastern division.
