Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Netani Sukanaivalu has resigned from his position.

Sukanaivalu tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.

He noted his intention to return to managing his family business.

Bainimarama accepted Sukanaivalu’s resignation and acknowledged the immense contributions he made towards the country’s development.

Sukanaivalu first took up the post of Minister for Education before taking up the Lands and Mineral Resources portfolio.

Bainimarama now assumes the responsibilities of the Lands and Mineral Resources Minister.
