Miitary regime to compensate injured servicemen

Even as Fiji's economy keels over, the illegal and treasonous military regime under Bainimarama's hand, continues to fritter away much-needed funds to ensure the loyalty of injured soldiers who may be "idle and prone to mischief".

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces is compensating soldiers who were injured while serving in Lebanon and Sinai between 1978 and 1997.

The RFMF says soldiers who were injured while serving during this period in Sinai and Lebanon will have to report to their respective military camps.

Word from the Compensation Section of the RFMF is that interviews have begun at different camps around Fiji to determine soldiers eligibility.

It says interviews were held in Suva yesterday and interviews for the Northern Division at the Sukanaivalu barracks in Vatureka will be held tomorrow.

The Section has urged all those in the Northern Division who want to be compensated to turn up to the Labasa camp tomorrow.
