Samoa's prime minister has dismissed the idea that the Pacific islands Development Forum, currently underway in Fiji, will ever replace the Pacific Islands Forum.
Tuilaepa Sailele says Samoa is not attending the PIDF because it is duplicating activities already covered by the Forum and other organisations.
The prime minister tells Bruce Hill that he disagrees with comments by Fiji interim prime minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama that the Pacific Islands Forum is dominated only by a few and in too many instances, it no longer genuinely represents the Pacific's interests and needs.
