There will be an increase in the number of nursing intake from 90 to 170 a year with succession plans to see at least 200 nurse's graduate yearly.
This is according to Minister of Health Dr Neil Sharma while announcing new measures the Ministry will undertake to strengthen reproductive health programs at community level.
A joint partnership has also been undertaken with the Fiji National University and the TSI Sangam Nursing Institute to offer courses that will help up-skill nurses in the area of Reproductive Health.
Meanwhile the Ministry is concerned with the rate of teenage pregnancies in the country and is now looking to maximise awareness campaigns around the country.
