“Do not be moved by personal agendas of old politicians.”
This was the stern message the Prime Minister and Army Commander Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama told the Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel during their first parade at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua this morning.
Commodore Bainimarama reminded all military personnel to remain loyal to their duty and not be disturbed by criticism made against the developments in the country.
The Prime Minister told RFMF soldiers that they should not be moved by all these talks from politicians especially now that they have been leading and supporting government for six years in its road to democracy.
Commodore Bainimarama added this is also an important year as government will be announcing the new constitution and moving towards elections.
He also confirmed that the members of the Constituent Assembly will be announced soon and the military will have a representative on the assembly.
