PRIME Minister and military commander Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday commended military personnel undertaking works in the Northern Division.
At a medal parade at the Sukanaivalu Barracks in Vaturekuka, Labasa, Commodore Bainimarama commended the military personnel for their hard work and emphasised the need to work in partnership with stakeholders and local communities.
Highlighting the recent road works in the North, Commodore Bainimarama said ordinary Fijians would benefit from the development work.
He also told his men that the military would continue to play a major role in ensuring that the people's needs were met in a bid to reduce concerns and stress among the people.
