I-Taukei Land Trust board officers are in Kadavu as part of an expo organized by the Reserve Bank of Fiji to address issues faced by landowners there.
TLTB general manager, Alipate Qetaki says this is the first time their officers are visiting the island.
“We would like them to participate in discussions with us on what they can do in terms of investment, in terms of getting engaged in real participation in business in the economic life of Fiji. We want to see how they can develop their land better utilization.”
Qetaki adds they would like to know what challenges landowners face.
“Part of the exercise is that they will record all the queries, the complains that they have and then we will follow-up with further meetings where TLTB will go back to Kadavu and clarify all these issues with the people concerned.”
Qetaki adds they are on track to achieving ninety percent of their target set for the first half of this year.
