Meanwhile, Army Captain Lowame Turagalovo Lilo, who is one of the soldiers who will be part of the 319 member contingent that leaves for UN peacekeeping duties this week, said every time he leaves for the Middle East, it is always tough to say goodbye especially to his children.

Meanwhile, RFMF’s Captain Ifereimi Buaserau said their logistic office will be open until tomorrow afternoon for loved ones who want to send anything to the Fijian soldiers in the Golan Heights.

Buaserau added it is very important for family members and loved ones to communicate with those serving in the Middle East.

160 soldiers will leave tomorrow while another 159 will leave on Sunday.

The first batch of 182 left for the Golan Heights last month.
