Two former employees of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) have been found guilty and convicted of abuse of office by the Nadi Magistrates Court.
Seremaia Vueti and Jacoro Kenatale, a former TLTB Regional Accountant North West and Senior Estate Officer were alleged to have – on different occasions between September 2007 to September 2008 – endorsed and facilitated advance payments of more than $6700 to Mataqali Tilivesewa without complying with proper procedures under the NLTB Trust Manual.
Magistrate Ajmeer adjourned the matter to Friday, July 26, 2013, for mitigation.
