The Republic of the Fiji Military Forces will need more men as it carries out three more recruitment drives.
Fijian Prime Minister and Military Commander, Voreqe Bainimarama made the statement at a Pass-out parade in Nasinu today.
The cabinet has approved the conduct of another basic recruit course this year with an anticipated number of 450 personnel, this is schedule to be conducted next month another 2 recruits of 450 personnel each are schedule for next year
Bainimarama says since Fiji has committed a number of troops to peacekeeping duties abroad the RFMF will now look for replacements.
This comes as a result of our commitment to the Golan heights, plus our commitment to Iraq and The Sinai, where will need personnel’s to supplement the territorial forces here at home, and also personnel to conduct relieving duties of the regular soldiers away
Bainimarama has also confirmed that 318 soldiers and ten staff officers are undergoing training and are expected to leave for the Golan Heights on Monday week.
