Two parties pay dues to Registrar

Two political parties, the National Federation Party and the the Social Democratic Liberal Party have paid the dues to the Registrar of Political Parties Office.
NFP President Raman Pratap Singh says they have paid about five thousand seven hundred dollars.
He says they were told by the Registrar to pay the amount in full, for the declaration of assets and liabilities published in the Fiji Sun.
Singh says they paid under protest as the party risked being de-registered.
Registrar Mohammed Saneem told FBC News, that it’s an administrative matter which he will deal with.
SODELPA General Secretary Pio Tabaiwalu says they paid a sum of twenty six thousand dollars.
Meanwhile the Fiji Sun Publisher Peter Lomas says, the advertisements were placed directly by the Registrar at a substantially discounted rate.
And has confirmed the payment has been made.
The Fiji Labour Party has not been available for a comment.
